Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University traditionally welcomes American Fulbrighters every year. As you know, the Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government. It is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Grants are available for U.S. citizens to go abroad and for non-U.S. citizens with no U.S. permanent residence to come to the U.S. Jack Morton was brought as a visiting scholar to our university this year in order to collaborate on curriculum and conduct his research. He is now actively involved in academic life of the Chair of Theory and Practice of Translation from Germanic and Romance Languages. It surely helps our future translators to gain great experience in the professional area. Jack’s classes are always full-house – students are motivated not only by the chance of intercultural exchange but also by the “live” atmosphere our American fellow creates. It makes the learning process both efficient and interesting.
