Students of the university have all necessary facilities for improvement their athletic talents. As future specialists they successfully form their professionalism with the help of physical training as well. There are 17 kinds of sports at the sports club. About 950 students are members of the seven university combined teams, train at sports sections and health improving groups. Students of the Volodymyr Dahl university make famous their Alma mater taking part in competitions in softball, handball, chess, basketball, football, swimming, weightlifting, table tennis, armrestling, power lifting, aerobics, pentathlon and other individual kinds of sports.

For only a year 26 students have been given sports titles and categories. Kostyukova L.I. became a grand master and Antonov Y.V and Blednov S.V. became masters FIDe.

Prominent sportsmen, 15 students of our university are the members of the softball combined team. The team have won the championship of Ukraine 15 times and the Cup of Ukraine 9 times. The girls also show their mastery in the softball combined team of Ukraine.

Aerobics has gained popularity among students lately. They train in 25 aerobic sections, arrange exciting festivals in aerobics.

Students of the Volodymyr Dahl university aim their efforts at the popularization of the healthy way of life as they take part in the regional contest of TV programs ‘World of Sport’ which is being conducted under the patronage of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
